Seminar 1: Understanding Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

For anyone who would like to increase their knowledge and awareness in this area.

Seminar 2: Helping Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

For those who have completed seminar 1 or already have some knowledge and want to begin
to help sexually abused people

• Vital qualities of a Christian leader

• Facing common struggles and damage

• Overcoming denial and shame

• Taking the journey from depravity to dignity

• Helpful levels of care and support

Seminar 3: Restoring Dignity

This three day seminar is for people already working with those who have
suffered sexual abuse and who now want to increase their skills and effectiveness.

• Forming a Therapeutic Alliance with someone sexually abused

• Helping change dysfunctional ways of relating

• Understanding and working with Dissociation

• Facilitating a healthy emotional integration

• Tools to help overcome the effects of powerlessness, ambivalence, shame and guilt

• Identifying and overcoming lies, vows and misbeliefs

• Understanding and coping with self-harm, flashbacks, abreactions, eating disorders and blocked memories

• Care for the carers

• 1000 word assignment (within two months of the course end)
